Create an UpToDate Account

Follow the instructions below to gain access to UpToDate if you are trying to use the mobile app. When you are first setting up access to the app on your phone, you must be on-site at JPS.

  1. When connecting to the WiFi, be sure to connect to DATA-MIX.
  2. Go to the Library's website: jps.unthsc.edu.
  3. You will see a large, tabbed box. Click on the "Databases" tab (2nd tab) and select "UpToDate" from the menu and click "Go".
  4. In the top right corner, be sure you are connected to the JPS Health Network (the text will read "Welcome, JPS Health Network").
  5. Register for an account if you do not already have one. You can find the link in the top right corner.
  6. Download the UpToDate app onto your mobile device.
  7. Once downloaded, log into the app.

Important: To get continuous access to UpToDate, you will need to re-connect to the JPS network every 90 days.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to make an account, you can just follow step 1 through 3. If you are off-site, you will be prompted to enter your JPS credentials which will then give you full access to UpToDate. Please note you will not be able to use the app if you use this option.
