Use FIND PDF to search by PubMed ID or DOI number to access full-text copies of available articles. You will be prompted to request an article through our interlibrary loan service if it is not available in the JPS Medical Library collections.


What is a PMID Number?

  • A PMID (or PubMed reference number) is a number assigned by the NIH National Library of Medicine to papers indexed in PubMed.
  • In PubMed, the PMID number is located at the bottom left underneath the article title and authors.

 

What is a DOI Number?

  • A DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, is a string of numbers, letters and symbols used to uniquely identify an article or document.
  • In most databases, the DOI number is located below the article title and author information.
